When I think of what food means to me I think of delicious tasting objects that are soon to be eaten to satisfy my hunger. Also a time to sit down with family or friends, with a plate filled with various delicious items and converse with one another. Food plays a major role in my life and it can affect my mood throughout the day. When I have a full stomach I’m in the best of moods and if I eat enough I go into a state that can be referred to as a food coma. I don’t really acknowledge how healthy the food is that I consume because I see it as if it’s good to me then I’ll eat it. I love eating a lot of food when I’m eating and develop what is known as a “food baby,” where your stomach pokes out from eating large amounts. I have never been the type of person that likes to share my food because I come from a fairly large family of seven, so what I have on my plate is mine. I am very consistent when it comes to what I eat, I’m not pressed to try new foods because I know what I like and I mostly stick to those certain food items. Chipotle is one of those food items that I cannot go without simply because it’s too delicious and my favorite. Lastly, what I mostly think about food are the experiences that come with it, I have had many fun and memorable experiences with food such as the food fight I started in junior high. Which all started by me tossing my banana across the room, causing an eruption of various food items to be thrown everywhere. All in all, when I think of what food means to me I think of satisfying my hunger, followed by the time spent with family and the social aspect of eating, and the memorable experiences that come with food.
